Old North State BBQ is a restaurant located in Raleigh, NC. They are famous for their delicious food and chopped barbeque. Below is my process for designing the logo and brand guide.

When coming up with sketches, butcher's knives immediately came to mind. I also wanted to incorporate a fire in a creative way. When I think of BBQ I always think of a hot fire.
Brand Guide
When designing the logo, I went with red and gray because they contrasted well. The butcher’s knives represent the knives that chop the BBQ. Since their food is hot, fresh, and spicy, I added fire to the background as a part of their identity. The colors red, orange, and gray worked well together.
Target Audience
Old North State BBQ is targeted toward 25-40-year-old males or females in the Carolinas that have a love for BBQ and savory cuisines.

The Flyer is an advertisement for their new chicken wing flavor Spicy Honey BBQ. I used the fire to emphasize the spice level. On the cups, napkin, and cap is the old north state logo. I used Adobe Illustrator for the logo and flyer and photoshop to create these mockups.
